Baron Philippe de Rothschild Anderra Sauvignon blanc is a wine from Central Valley, region of Chile ,Central Valley is Chile's most productive and internationally known wine region, due predominately to its proximity to the national capital Santiago. It is located directly across the Andes. The Central Valley gathers four wine growing subregions: the Maipo Valley, the Rapel Valley, the Curicó Valley and the Maule Valley. The Central Valley is home to a large variety of grapes, but plantings are dominated by the internationally popular Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Chile's icon grape, Carmenere, is also of importance here, just as Malbec is to Mendoza, on the other side of the Andes. The cooler corners of the Central Valley are being increasingly developed, as winemakers experiment with varieties such as Viognier, Riesling and even Gewurztraminer.
Baron Philippe de Rothschild Anderra Sauvignon blanc is located in Central Valley's sub-region of Maipo Valley ,Maipo Valley is the closest Chilean wine region to Santiago, the capital city of Chile. It extends eastwards from the city to the Andes and westward to the coast, stretching south toward the towns and subzones of Padre Hurtado, Penaflor, Talagante, Isla de Maipo and Melipilla. The valley includes over 7,302 acres (2,955 ha) of vineyards, more than half of which are dedicated to producing Cabernet Sauvignon or Cabernet blends. It is a historic wine-producing region and the birthplace of the Chilean wine industry, with vines growing there for the past 150 years. The Maipo Valley can be divided in three sub-regions: Alto Maipo, Central Maipo, and Pacific Maipo.
BPHR Maipo Chile located in Maipo Valley, Chile's viticultural paradise for Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenere. It extends BPHR tradition of crafting outstanding wines to express the very best of the region. This winery offers fruit-forward, youthful and elegant wines, crafted for everyday enjoyment.
This wine comes from the Valle Central, south of Santiago. A vast winegrowing area, it has an ideal climate for viticulture, especially on account of its semi-arid Mediterranean climate. Baron Philippe de Rothschild Maipo Chile's winemakers have chosen the Valle Central vineyards for the variety of their terroirs. The north is dry with stony subsoil, while the damper south has clay soil that ensures a natural supply of water.
